Dixon Group Europe, the leading supplier of bespoke hose assemblies and couplings have recently launched their Rotary Hose and Coupling Brochure which outlines their range of rotary hose fittings and swaging machines for use in oil and gas applications.
In conjunction with leading rotary drilling hose manufacturers, Dixon have developed the Holedall®Swaged Rotary Hose Coupling Assembly System which ensures the production of safe and secure High Pressure Rotary/Mud hose assemblies.
Dixon's Rotary Couplings fully comply and have been tested with the requirements of API 7K 4th edition Addendum II. Holedall® IX internal expansion couplings conform to all European specifications and quality requirements including BS EN 1765 and BS EN 14421. These couplings are used for both land-based and offshore drilling.
The Holedall® coupling system provides outstanding strength, durability and safety and is a cost effective method of attaching couplings to hose. Ease of operation, flexibility and economy make the Holedall® Internal Expansion (IX) method an un-equalled hose assembly system, and is extensively used by Offshore Bulk Loading Hose Assemblers, certified by DNV.
With Internal Expansion, the system utilises a cold worked draw type progressive swage method which gives a full 360° uninterrupted expansion compression band around the hose, giving superb coupling retention and end load characteristics and full-flow bore reducing turbulence and wear in the hose
To complement the Holedall® couplings, Dixon design and manufacture a Dual Swaging machine specifically for assembling rotary hoses.
Dixon also provide quick release, dry disconnect and Blowout Prevention (BOP) couplings for High Pressure applications. The Dixon range of hose and hose assemblies is inclusive of composite, rubber, metallic, PTFE, food & beverage, anti static and spiral PVC and is complementary to their long established couplings sales. Typical duties include air, water, steam, oil, food, chemical and general purpose.
Lloyds Register Quality Assurance certifies all flexible hoses from Dixon to Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) 97/23/EC Module D1. The PED accreditation, where applicable, allows for the placing of the CE mark on pressure equipment and assemblies.
Dixon's in house engineering and ISO approved manufacturing facility is able to build hose assemblies to your exacting requirements and means that individual customised products can be designed and produced to meet customer's fluid system applications.
